Nicholas,

    thanks for the information.  As it happens I've got most of my
information from the sourceforge project.

    The delay is only noticeable when first starting the Outlook client.

    The 'overflowing' application log has been resolved by setting the
properties such that Information is _not_ filtered, hopefully these are
simply lost and not trapped elsewhere.
