I downloaded the cygwin1.dll snapshot a few minutes ago. I unzipped it, changed its name, and copied it to /bin, as I had been doing, including late last night with the 0628 SS. When I launched Cygwin from the icon, it strated to come up, rxvt briefly appeared, then closed. No failure message was noted. This happened several times. When I went back to the 0628 snapshot, Cygwin functioned properly. I updated Cygwin last night through the setup process. I did not try to run update again before I tried to run the update. The only snapshot I downloaded was the cygwin1.dll. This is my home machine, running Win98 on a P2/400.
