Hi,
what file system are you working on? It is known that FAT/FAT32 (if I remember
correctly) have a resolution of 2 seconds; I f you're using a fast PC, maybe that
could cause problems...
Are you using the make packaged in CygWin, or the native one? There's a special
mailing list for GNU make on W32 systems, mailto:make-w32 AT gnu DOT org, where non-CygWin
related questions can be submitted.
How large is "large"? 20? 20000? Maybe you can give out some more information. I've
been using make 3.79.1-5 for a while now (on NTFS), and had no such problems till now
(approx. 1100 source [*.c??, *.h??] files for a full build).
