Garry, The easiest way I know is to use an alias. For example: alias ls='ls -ACF --color=auto' See the ls man page for more info: --color[=WHEN] control whether color is used to distinguish file types. WHEN may be `never', `always', or `auto' HTH, --Kevin On Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at 10:12 AM, Garry Heaton wrote: > OK, the LS_COLORS works with a ~/.profile now. $TERM=cygwin, according to > 'env' so how do I get the directory listings with 'ssh' to show-up in > LS_COLORS? > > Garry [snip] -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
