SSH works for me too since the 2002-06-14 snapshot, however opening a 
bash prompt (i.e. using cygwin.bat in a command shell on Windows 2000) 
is noticeably slower for some reason.  Here are my time observations:

Snapshot 2002-06-10: 3-4 seconds
Snapshot 2002-06-14: 22 seconds
Snapshot 2002-06-15: 23 seconds
Snapshot 2002-06-16: 14 seconds

(I disabled my .bashrc file for these test runs.)
