Hello: We are using g++-2.95 (Solaris 2.6) for a considerable-sized project. We are faced with increased compilation times whenever we use STL. A sample program that only includes "iostream" and "string" takes around 6 times longer to compile than one that does not include these. Also, when we compile the same set of files under Visual C++, the time taken is around 6 times lesser. Is there any way to optimize the performance? Are we doing something wrong? Please help.
