I am trying to build the HDF5 library (HDF5-1.4.3) on cygwin. After some
tweaks to the code and Makefiles it compiles and links. A couple of the
tests fail and some of the examples dump core. I can see a couple of
evenings debugging and re-examining the "#ifdef WIN32" bits.

Has anyone managed to build HDF5 on cygwin?
