Subject: | CVS and binary mounts |
I think current port of CVS-1.1 does have a little problem with CVS/* files being read in binary mode... e.g. if CVS/Root has \r\n it prints "cannot access cvsroot\rCVSROOT" (you can read only "CVSROOTces cvsroot" as it overwrite the line itself). This is of course not a serious problem as an occasional "dos2unix CVS/*" can compeltely solve the issue, but it took me a bit of time to understand that wrapped error message, maybe just a "if you see this strange error, just use dos2unix" would be cool.. or a patch to fopen to use text-mode would be fo coruse even better ;) [no, I'm too busy right now to do it myself ^_^] Just to let you know (but maybe again you knew it already), Lapo -- Lapo 'Raist' Luchini lapo AT lapo DOT it (PGP & X.509 keys available) http://www.lapo.it (ICQ UIN: 529796) -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
