Subject: CVS and binary mounts

I think current port of CVS-1.1 does have a little problem with CVS/*
files being read in binary mode... e.g. if CVS/Root has \r\n it prints
"cannot access cvsroot\rCVSROOT" (you can read only "CVSROOTces cvsroot"
as it overwrite the line itself).
This is of course not a serious problem as an occasional "dos2unix
CVS/*" can compeltely solve the issue, but it took me a bit of time to
understand that wrapped error message, maybe just a "if you see this
strange error, just use dos2unix" would be cool.. or a patch to fopen to
use text-mode would be fo coruse even better ;)
[no, I'm too busy right now to do it myself ^_^]

Just to let you know (but maybe again you knew it already),
Lapo
