you might be able to search on your error and find your answers.
I know its brough up many times.

setting it up

but two things to also check as you read /\ and look @ the list server
1. did you make a passwd and a group file??

2. if you have does the group id that a user is parts (listed in the
passwd file) show up in the group file?
