Looks like something that mutt depends upon is missing or does not have
the execute bit set.

Works like a champ on my system.

try 'strace mutt -s test elik AT bhphotovideo DOT com'

Assuming you're on a linux system.  If you're running Solaris, that'll
be 'truss' instead.
