I telnet to a win 2000 adv SP2 server using Cygwin. Then sqlplus to a database (oracle 8.1.7). I would like to use "ed" command in sqlplus: SQL > define_editor="notepad"(CHAR) I changed the default editor, as notepad cannot be displayed in telnet session: SQL > define_editor="vi" SQL > select * from tableA; SQL > ed Wrote file afiedt.buf 'vi' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. As i know cygwin call "vim.exe", i try SQL > define_editor="vim" SQL > select * from tableA; SQL > ed vim : Error readin input; exiting vim : Finished How can i use "ed" command (sqlplus) using Cygwin ?
