Hi!

I am running cygwin on a Windows XP Pro system, 1Gig RAM, AMD Athlon XP
1500+.

I am having a strange problem with cygwin... I built a program with gcc,
which due to my poor programming suffered segmentation faults. Until I
updated cygwin yesterday (I only got the new auto-tools, everything else was
current already), this program would die as one might expect. However, now
this program (with no changes, but I have tried various gcc flags) dies
without any indication of error. Executing it in GDB shows the segfault
occuring, but on its own I get nothing...

I built a new program to figure this out, I allocated then freed some memory
and tried to write to the freed memory, and again, within GDB i got the
proper information, whereas outside GDB, ie in cygwin bash, I got nothing...
no output!
