Tried with Texinfo 4.04 and 4.03. info anything except --help  or --version dumps core with this trace:

Doesn't matter if INFOPATH is unset or set correctly (e.g. INFOPATH=/usr/info).
Doesn't matter if --directory is used.

However does *not* crash with -f mumble.info
