In reply to: http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2001-11/msg01062.html I've added a wishlist item to close ftp control connections when waiting for user input. As for active vs passive mode controls, I'll accept patches but I really don't see the issue. Fix your NAT and you should be fine. (Every decent NAT device, including linux, supports FTP inspection).
