Subject: Rsync: "read error: Connection reset by peer" after share listing
Date: Fri, 16 Nov 2001 15:12:44 -0000
MIME-Version: 1.0
X-Priority: 3
X-MSMail-Priority: Normal
X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.50.4133.2400
X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.50.4133.2400

Whenever I give the command rsync hostname:: to get a share listing, I get
the listing, but once complete, the error:

read error: Connection reset by peer

I get this error both when running the rsync client program on the local or
a remote machine, and both when running the rsync server as a cygrunsrv
service (quick patch to stop it from trying to detatch from a nonexistent
terminal) and from a bash prompt.

I am running a 100% up to date Cygwin installation.

Any guesses as to where to look to resolve this?

Thanks,

Max.
