Subject: question about make

Hi,

It is a question about make. I apologize in advance if I am not on the
right mailing list.
I am trying to find mail list for make if you know the pointer please
send me.
My question is that I want to define a symbol on command line. How to do
with make?
For example if I want to define MYOBJECT symbol, how to write?
I even tried with
prompt> make -D MYOBJECT test.c
didn't work.

regards

/Mohammad
