#1

I only want to install a subset of the packages available. Basically, I
need a few CVS and SSH related tools.

When I re-run the installer, I would prefer if it remembered which
packages I had previously installed, and (by default) only select
updates to those packages.

Currently, I have to work my way down the list and deselect the many,
many packages I'm not interested in. This is tedious and error prone.

#2

Packages often rely on other packages. The installer should be able to
identify this and (after warning me) automatically include additional
packages in the install.
