I am trying to install fetchmail in cygwin. (My laptop can't run XFree86.)
The problem I am having is that I can't get chmod to work to get the
proper permissions for the .fetchmailrc file!!!

melvin AT WESTON ~
$ ls -l .fetchmailrc
-rw-r--r--    1 melvin   544            76 Apr 23  2001 .fetchmailrc

melvin AT WESTON ~
$ chmod -v 0600 .fetchmailrc
mode of `.fetchmailrc' changed to 0600 (rw-------)

melvin AT WESTON ~
$ ls -l .fetchmailrc
-rw-r--r--    1 melvin   544            76 Apr 23  2001 .fetchmailrc

melvin AT WESTON ~
$
