I think that ntsec is recommended-
but not needed if you don't want to
switch user context without typing
a password. Are you using NTFS or
FAT?

This confuses me- to version 2.2.9 from
version 2.9? Or do you mean to version 2.9.2p2-3
from version 2.9.2p2-1?
IIRC, when you upgrade cygwin and/or ssh(d),
you need to uninstall the old service and then
install the new service. Have you done this?
