Greetingz, [Context] I use Cygwin strictly for the GNU C++ Compiler and the make-functionality, so it makes no difference if I'm working under Linux or under Windows. [Goal] I want to achieve 1 single executable, independent of any other files. [Problem] I noticed that executables, generated by the GNU C++ Compiler (g++) can only be run in coöperation with the file *cygwin1.dll* [Question] Is there a way to generate an executable which doesn't need this dll to run? A special compiling-option perhaps? My knowledge of the whole Cygwin-structure is too small to have a clear view on this subject.
