Couldn't you checkout the current version of Cygwin from CVS
(http://cygwin.com/cvs.html)?  There are the setup sources
(in subdir winsup/cinstall) and the docs (in subdir winsup/doc).
The FAQs are in most of the *.texinfo files in the doc directory.

If you'd send patches...
