NOTE: An executable program which was attached to your email has been
automatically removed.

Explanation:

Many of the most popular email programs will automatically run an
executable email attachment. This "feature" is exploited by virus
programs as a means to infect your computer and/or do damage to your
system. Recent well publicized examples include the "Melissa" and
"ILOVEYOU" viruses.

Due to the pervasive nature of this problem, Harding has instituted a
policy of removing executable attachments from email messages,
both incoming and outgoing.

You may bypass this filtering by changing the file type of an
executable image you wish to send before you send it. You will need
to tell the recipient to change the file type back to its original
value once they have received the attachment. For example, you might
change the file type of a program you wish to send to "TMP". Email
systems should not alter a "TMP" file during transmission and a file
of type "TMP" will not be executed automatically.

Although this is an inconvenience for us all, following this procedure
will avoid the unintentional infection of our computers through
automatic execution of email virus attachments.

Thank you,

Harding Postmaster
