Some of the more recently updated Cygwin programs are failing
on Windows XP (Build 2526) with memory errors. The most recent
version of lynx was the first occurrence of this and the only
occurrence until I updated bash to 2.05-7. Then many others
started to exhibit this failure. The id program, for instance
generates the following output:

----------------
C:\cygwin\bin\id.exe: *** Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's
heap (0x9B0000) in child, cygheap, Win32 error 487
----------------
NOTE: Win32 error 487 = Attempt to access invalid address.

This is the same error message that lynx generated.

These same programs appear to work fine on Win9x, WinNT 4.0,
and Win2K.

Has anyone else seen these problems?

Thanks,

D
