Subject: | Missing cygwin1.dll efter installing full.exe |
Hi all, As it is clear from my subject, I have installed full.exe but cygwin1.dll is not there. Particularly I was expecting it under. cygwin/cygwin-20....../bin I wonder what happened to it and what I have done wrong during installation of full.exe. Can I continue to work without cygwin1.dll or it is a must. Further I have mount according: % umount / % mount -b c:\\root / % cd / mkdir tmp % cd tmp here I create a helloworld.cpp file just to print helloworld. I compile: % g++ helloworld.cpp -o hello what I get is hello.exe ( why an *.exe extention when I am working in a unix like environment?) thanks in advance regards /saleem -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
