ftp client complains that ~/.netrc is readable by others..

$ ls -al .netrc
-rw-r--r--   1 dnormand 544            99 Aug 27 09:30 .netrc

I've been every which way to remove the perms for 'Group' and 'world'
with no joy. In Cygwin.bat I've tried:

set CYGWIN=binmode notty ntsec
set CYGWIN=binmode notty ntea

Am I pooched or have I missed something?

I'm not subscribed to the list, so please cc me! Tia...
