sortof.  cygwin perl supports gdbm in its native (gdbm) mode, as well as 
in its emulation (ndbm) mode.  However, gdbm's ndbm emulation has 
problems on FAT drives (due to the non-existence of hardlinks).  Try 
running your test on NTFS drives.
