Subject: DirectX in cygwin

Has anyone successfully written any apps with DirectX in cygwin?
(Specifically DirectSound)

Is it as easy as copying the directx headers and libraries into my
cygwin space, and including and linking against them? Or is there more
to it? Does cygwin have wrapper support for DirectX 8?

Thanks,
Brian
