Hi. I'm trying to install cygwin on a network drive, either with unc paths or with drive letters. Assuming that M: is the network drive I try to install from M:\cygarch into M:\cygwin with SETUP. All works well up to gcc. Gcc produces a ntvdm exception when compiling which can be trace to cygwin's way of implementing symbolic links type libg.a !<symlink>libcygwin.a This way of "linking" works fine on local drives but fails on my networked drive. Any clues, hints or workarounds for this?
