Sorry 'bout that. That happens after upgrading from 2.9p1-2
since I had packed the 2.9p1-2 tar archive wrong :-(

The new 2.9p2-1 package is correct again so the next update
will not destroy these files.

No, only if the script knows that sshd is started under system
account the automated chown makes sense, IMO.

Slightly. The group membership is never checked, though.
