btw, when/if you do that, please take care when conditionalizing it to
behave well with -mno-cygwin and -shared | -mdll. I do remember why I
never sent in the patch -- I wanted my main() invoked instead of WinMain
in some cases, and I didn't want to have to supply -e main. 

If I don't see anything floating by in a few days, and I'll send in a 
patch for review.
