It's your PS1 variable. Look at your /etc/profile. Kevin -----Original Message----- From: Clark Sims [mailto:csims AT templartrading DOT com] Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2001 14:49 To: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com Subject: suppressing username AT computername header Is there a way to suppress the username AT computername header, which occurs at the bash promt? I would like the screen to appear excatly like it does in Linux. I have tried the PS1 environment variable, but to no avail.
