Hi,

No. Just do it. Actually there are general books on porting. You may find
them helpful but YMMV, Greg Lehey wrote one - O'Reilly is the publisher.
This book is for Unix to Unix porting mainly. The general approach may apply 
to Windows in a broad sense.

There used to be a book to port Unix src to the Windows environment. This one is
hardly seen in bookstores anymore but your luck may vary.

So perhaps your best bet is to join that group with like interest. Sorry I
don't have any links for you.
