Richard, et al,

I ran the test script, and saw the ERROR message on test35, 45, 46, and
50.dat.  Subsequent runs also had errors, sometimes many more.

Single processor PIII box, NT4 sp6, 256 MB.

What really surprised me was that even when adding a "sleep 1" after the
touch, and before the test -r, the behavior was the same.

I was in a directory on a local drive.

I've attached the output of cygcheck -v -s -r.

Hope this proves somewhat helpful.
