Subject: | tar cygwin on Win2k unable to recognize tar Unix |
Does anyone know how to get the cygwin tar command on Win2k to recognize tapes made on a UNIX workstation using the UNIX tar command? tar commands in cygwin on a tape made on UNIX yield the following message: tar: /dev/nt0: Cannot read: Permission denied tar: At beginning of tape, quitting now tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now thanks, stephen -- Want to unsubscribe from this list?
