Always has been... Okay, let me put this another way, *i* wonder why i never manually had to create a vimrc file with "set ff=dos" before. If i were to delete this file and revert back to the old version of vim then i still would not get any ^M characters! Could the old vim package have been detecting the dos/textmount and creating the relevant vimrc file/line itself during install ? (I can't beleive i just wrote that, it does sound a little far fetched doesn't it) I suppose it'll just have to remain one of life's little mysteries ;-) Sagar -- Want to unsubscribe from this list?
