This is quite an old FAQ suggestion that I'm just looking at now.
As far as I can tell, this is now fixed. That is, the section
references in "one big html file" are self contained and should work
when viewed offline. This is probably because I started using a later
version of texi2html a while ago. I didn't do anything intentionally
to fix this.
Ed, if you could check and see that I haven't overlooked something,
I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
