Hi Corinna... I have installed sshd using cygrunsrv on two win2k-sp2 boxes. On one box (a desktop unit), it works fine. On the other box (a laptop unit) it fails to start at system boot time, and in the system log I find the following two messages: Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the Secure Shell service to connect. The Secure Shell service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. But...If I later start it from the control panel or with a net start command, it works fine (it starts up and gives no errors). Any thoughts on whit I should try? Also, did you get my e-mail on check_nt_auth? I think that a general check mimimum cygwin1.dll version facility would be better...and it would be useful in many other packages as well. What do you think? Thanks, ...Karl _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com -- Want to unsubscribe from this list?
