Let's see if I understand what I'm seeing in the cygcheck output. It looks
like you ran it in c:\cygwin\usr\bin\ in a MSDOS window.

_If_ that is correct, move all the files in c:\cygwin\usr\bin\ to
c:\cygwin\bin\ and all files in c:\cygwin\usr\lib\ to c:\cygwin\lib\.
You'll notice that the mount points given in the cygcheck output make those
two bin\ and two lib\ directories both point to c:\cygwin\bin\ and
c:\cygwin\lib\ respectively.

When did you install Cygwin? What is the version number given in the first
dialog box when you run setup.exe? If the setup.exe version is less than
2.57, get the latest version from http://cygwin.com/ .
