This just gets weirder and weirder...
I wipped out extra Cygwin installation that was created and main Cygwin
registry keys then attempted another install, this time it created an
openssh directory in the directory where all the Cygwin setup tarballs are
and installed everything in there. I am still stuck with only those 2 mounts
mentioned in previous message too.
The new setup version seems to have problems creating the standard mounts
and changing to the installation directory specificed during setup.
BTW I had no extra mounts on system at all, only standard mounts created by
previous released setup version.

The install from internet option seems even worse, a clean install from
internet caused most of the excutables to go in /usr/bin instead of /bin
meaning that Cygwin would not even start at all without changes
