I am open to help, but I am not familiar with multi-process debugging in the
CygWin (or windows) environment, and I am not familiar with gdb and any
other tools here. Any suggestions on where to start?

I understand that. But I needed pipes (on all of the win2k boxes I tried)

different?...and what might that tell us about this problem?

Thanks,

...Karl
