I'm trying to set up a new Cygwin install on a new PC. I'm trying to use "mkpasswd -d > /etc/passwd" to set up the passwd file. It gets a lot of entries, but it doesn't get the entry for my name. I also see the following output line: LookupAccountName(\\RAIDER,ROOT\root) failed with error 1332 Earlier, before I manually set my "HOME" variable, the Bash shell would give me a prompt with "I have no name!". -- Want to unsubscribe from this list?
