I can take any large C file on my system and type "gcc -pipe file.c" to begin compilation. As soon as the console window title changes from GCC to CPP to indicate that cpp.exe is running, I type Ctrl+C and nothing happens. I then quickly type Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the list of running tasks and see that GCC has terminated (because of my Ctrl+C) but CPP is still running. I'm saying there is a bug in Cygwin that makes apps running in a pipe ignore Ctrl+C. -- Tim Baker -- Want to unsubscribe from this list? Check out: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
