Hi All,
I'm trying to get ssh (along with everyone else I think *GRIN*) working.
However, as a first step I thought that I'd attempt to login, because if
that didn't work ssh has _no chance!_. I've added my domain to the passwd
file and group...
/bin/mkpasswd -ld micromarketing > /etc/passwd
/bin/mkgroup -ld micromarketing > /etc/group
and then... login
Now, my user name is morrijr so
$ grep morrijr /etc/passwd
morrijr::1324:1141:John
Morrison,S-1-5-21-1491927668-2094530616-1660491571-1324:/home/morrijr:/bin/s
h
$ login
login: morrijr
Password:
Login incorrect
login: Micromarketing/morrijr
Password:
Login incorrect
login: micromarketing/morrijr
Password:
Login incorrect
login: John Morrison
Password:

login: micromarketing/John Morrison

Question: What am I doing wrong?
I've read something about adding the domain to the passwd file (U- I think),
is there a reason that this isn't done automatically?
Help?
Thanks,
John.
