Hi,

I have installed postgres-7.1RC2-1 on windows2000, with cygipc-1.09-2, and
cygwin1.dll
of 19 March. I have followed all steps of
  /usr/doc/Cygwin/postgres-7.1RC2.README

and finally when a client tries to connect the postmaster, i get this on
server
$ postmaster
DEBUG: database system was interrupted at 2001-04-06 16:14:46
DEBUG: CheckPoint record at (0, 1563304)

and this on client:
psql: pqReadData() -- backend closed the channel unexpectedly.
        This probably means the backend terminated abnormally
        before or while processing the request.

I downloaded the source distribution, compiled it and installed it.
I have exactly the same problem.

Does this package really works on windows 2000 ?
Any tips ??
