Never(!) build Cygwin in the source dir. Create a new dir for example
parallel to the top level source dir, cd into it and call configure:

	cd <toplevelsourcedir>
	cd ..
	mkdir bin
	cd bin
	../<toplevelsourcedir>/configure
	make
