I was just fooling around I wondering if I could compile the Linux 2.4.1 kernel in cygwin. a `make menuconfig` in stackdumped on me resulting in the next few lines: $ less LXDIALOG.EXE.stackdump Exception: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION at eip=00405E81 eax=00000000 ebx=145E2818 ecx=0000001A edx=0000005D esi=00000000 edi=00000000 ebp=0253F94C esp=0253FC04 program=C:\CYGWIN\HOME\BAHA\LINUX\SCRIPTS\LXDIALOG\LXD IALOG.EXE cs=0247 ds=024F es=024F fs=1947 gs=0000 ss=024F Stack trace: Frame Function Args 0253F94C 00405E81 (00000000, 00000000, 00000000, 00000000) End of stack trace I scrolled down the whole initial list in the menu and then back up again then I selected the 'development options' in `make menuconfig`. It seemed like I did enter that menu briefly and then the stackdump occurred. Thanks for the good work so far!
