FWIW, my experience (with Windows98) has been that this doesn't work unless I browse to the particular share name at least once with Explorer. Once I do that, then I can reference the particular share names from within bash, emacs, MSDOS prompts, etc... --wpd -- Want to unsubscribe from this list?
