If you are using the default naming conventions, and you have a .o file for your program, you must link it to make an executable
e.g. 'gcc helloworld.o' That executable will not be in /usr/bin unless you copy it there; by default, it would be in your current
directory; by default, in cygwin, it's named a.exe, and may be executed by typing
./a or ./a.exe
