Since BitchX is looking for BOTH terminfo (ncurses) AND termcap, you
probably should use the termcap.h file from the ncurses package to avoid
conflicts.  Do

mv /usr/include/termcap.h /usr/include/termcap.h.old
cp /usr/include/termcapn.h /usr/include/termcap.h
