Is anyone using lynx in an intranet?

Lynx2-8-3 compiled fine. I don't have direct access to Internet, so I've put

>http_proxy:http://wwwgate0.mot.com:1080/
>no_proxy:*.mot.com

in the cfg file (I picked that from IExplorer-Tools-Internet OPtions-etc).
But
lynx still can't connect outside mot.com:

>Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host.
>
>Looking up wwwgate0.mot.com:1080
>Making HTTP connection to wwwgate0.mot.com:1080
